i was at the dealeship and looking a gt-s in the showroom. Its doors felt noticably heavier than mine. All my friends agree too. How comes and it feels like that? Anyone?

Probably just the hinges. Of course a new car is going to be stiffer than a 3 year old car.

Perhaps because it's newer. Or maybe because they're starting to use stiffer hinges and other that other good stuff. I'm just guessing...

you know, i noticed that they felt heavier too when i went from a 2000 to a 2003. i also thought it might because it was new but i don't remember my 2000 being like that when i got it brand new.

Yeah, I'd place my bet on stiffer hinges then.

They are not any heavier.

I had a 2000, now I own a 03 celica.
