Was on my home last nite and this kid in a civic turns on the street i was making a left onto and he's staring my car down. Well im driving behind him and he starts driving slow, and as soon as i get near him, he guns it.

His crx is OLD. Like pre 1984. And looks completely stock with a tiny exhaust tip. So I figured he was just trying to be a funny guy.

So I just follow him, I only race from a stop. Well it took like a mile, but we got a red light and lined up. Light turns green and I slip the clutch at 4k. I guess I slipped it too slow because my tires spun all through 1st, and hes at my door. I go through 2nd and I got a car on him, and then I run through 3rd and take it up to 80 and flash my hazards so there is no mistake who won.

He is about 3 or so car lengths back. I give him props for not doing a ricer flyby, and for his car being pretty quick for what it was. I love sleepers. Go before Show.

Crazy that there is an aftermarket for those cars.

Yeah the zc motor the dohc 16 valve version does wonders for that car, u throw in an integra ecu extend the rev limiter to 7500 and u got a quick little car

I did research on making a hybrid 88 CRX, in that year those things weighed less than 1900 lbs, I was gonna drop a 99 Si (B16) engine in it which is the common drop in motor, turned out to be a hassel and my dad didnt want to **** with it, so we ditched the project, my guess is that it would have run high 14's or so, not bad for a few G's worth.

if u did that swap it would of done much better than high 14's u're talkin low 14's to mid 14's i ran high fourteens in my old crx with the d16z motor with a cam, header ,cai, and clutch. And the most common swap isn't the b16a its the mini me swap

Ya, I guess i just thought it was the most common cuase i was talking to a bunch of guys online who had all dont it and belonged to a CRX hybrid club, they talked about it like it was no big deal of a swap, but after getting into really deep detail it turned out that it was a little more difficult than it first seemed, i kinda wish i would have done it, but its all good, i like the celi.
