i currently have 205/40/17 kumho ecsta tires..and was thinkin bout going 215/40 or 225/40..and as u can see in my sig..my car sits pretty low..which one would be safer to go with?? and would either one rub?

i say go with 215/40/17 for 17x7 , if u go 225 they stick oout too much and look weird. if u want to be safe from pot holes and jacked up roads go with 45 series.

Firstly, very few tires come in 225/40-17 (who knows why?)
And if I had 17" wheels, I think I'd get 215/40-17 (or 235/40-17 if I wanted wide tires and had the wide wheels to fit them :D)
As for the 215s rubbing, if you wheels have a reasonable offset, I don't think it's a worry.

I am pretty sure you can go 215/45ZR17
