body kit - paint then put on?

one of my friends got me a deal on a paint job for my body kit. however, its going to be painted the put on. i was wondering during the bolt on process if the paint will chip? thanks in advance

it shouldn't. mine (and as far as i know most every body kit that gets put on) was painted first, and i had no problems.

It's the miracle of masking tape my friend. Get good 3M masking tape that is brand new- it will stick evenly, but pull off absolutely clean with no problems, put it on the edges that will match up with other panels and their won't be a scratch. Plus patience is a virtue- take your time and scratches will never happen.
