Has anyone managed to get a childs conversion/booster car seat properly installed in the rear seats? The bucket seats and belt buckle forward of the seat crease make things difficult.

Anyone know where you can get a bucket seat cover? Something like a cushion on one side (to fill the bucket) and flat on the other side.

I've put my son's seat in the back and never had a problem with it. Making it flat would certainly help. I usually just stick a towel or blanket over the area so it's easier on the seat surface. And strap it in like any other car. He loves the sound that comes from the rear of the car. :)

Maybe your car seat is too big. I used Century Accel convertible on mine and it's fine. Well, my kid is still rear-faced...but I guess it shouldn't matter since I can put the bottom of the car seat in fine. You can always stuff it with a folded bath towel.

I tried the Century NextStep SE forward facing and it swivels side to side in the front if you tug it. This is with the belt super tight.

Hey...my son is 6 months and outgrowning his curent seat...which barely fits back there. I guess we are about to get a convertible type that will be rear facing for a while but switch around to front facing when he gets old enough...any suggestions??

ps. what do people with 2 seaters do I wonder? Is it legal to have the kid shotgun if thats all ya got?

Sorry, but I have a little side question. Does anyone know any companies that make racing baby seats? I know recaro makes one, but anyone else?

I use towels to fill in the contoured part and make a flat surface. The forward position of the buckle does make for a somewhat questionable fit, but with the locking clip in place and the tether attached to the seatback, I think it's plenty snug.

Simpson makes a child car seat:

I think you can only have a car seat in a 2-seater if there is no passenger air bar or it is disabled...definitely true for a rear-facing seat, not sure about fwd facing.

all of those baby seats look like racing seats, u can even get them at walmart, all you have to do is get the colors that look right. My brother bought one at some local store, regular seat, but the color was blue and white, looks like racing seats.

I saw a really nice baby seat at Target...black fabricated leather, 4 point harness... would make a perfect match for the GT-S leather seats.
