A friend of mine had just brought a new RSX Type S, and he called me up just to talk **** about the GT-S. Blah blah blah.. I used to hand him his ass with my MX-6 LS vs his tasteful riced out baby blue MR-2 with mad show and no go. Anyways, his MR-2 was in the shop for 9 months waiting for a 400hp turbo motor transplant and the show screwed him and fell thru. So he brough a Type S.

Over the summer, I cruised with my boy with the IS300 and went to some races in around Deer Park, LI. He had a intake/exhaust (same as me). That night, we were there with a couple of friend, along with my GF and his GF headed to the races. No one wanted to run and they all pussed. I was eager so I volunteered him. Well by the end of 2nd gear I was 2 cars ahead. Needless to say, he tells me he still have nightmares about that night because he was so embarassed. Since then, he was set to beat me so he can get his manhood back. He got a new catback exhaust, rod millen intake, tuned Apexi S-AFC, Torque converter, power ignition system, 4 engine pulley set and stickier Toyo Proxy tires. He took me for a ride in his car, and damn it feel so responsive and had a lot of midrange torque. My car feels so sluggish compare to his. We messed around in a large parking lot for a bit, I did some donuts and tried to drift (harder than I thought).

The Type S called and said he could'nt make it (wuss). So we decided to head to Greenpoint (a popular race spot in Queens during summer but is pretty dead now).

We lined up. I told him to signal his horn 3 times and we go. I grinned at him and he gave me a cocky "I'm gonna dust ya look", hehe. BEEP! I held the rev to 3500 rpm (road don't have too much traction.) 2nd BEEP came a long 3 seconds later.?? And suddenly third BEEP! (cheating bastard!). He gunns it, with his level ten torque convertor, he got a door on me and a head start. I feather the clutch and seeing him ahead, I hurried it and wheel spins thru first. The car starts shaking crazy when I get thru the high revs (wheel hop), and come second - damn! I missed lift by 200 rpm. But I kept at his door and by the end of the run, I didn't gain a inch!

2nd Run. I signal the horns and what do you know, I won by half a car.

3rd Run -8th Run. I won either by a bumper or a door. 2 times he got a door on me and I gained it back by end of first because of VVTI and his car shifts before I do.

Overall I like his car. So much easier to drive, has speed ALL the time and don't have to drive the shiet out of it to be fast. Comfortable and the view is better than the Celi. Not to mention its RWD.

Now I'm thinking about getting the Infiniti G35 with a 260hp engine and RWD.

I'm set to race the RSX next week and he be ready with intake/exhaust and springs. I think I still have a advantage of experience and better tires (Cooper Cobra Z rated) than the stupid Michelin.
