This happened a long long time ago.

Apparently this guy was drunk or something and he let his GIRLFRIEND drive. Its a auto. She could'nt handle the rear end being loose and try to countersteer too much.

There's are people who can't drive.
And there are drivers who can't control a car to race.

Racing can be fairly safe if not pushed to the limit too much and the drivers are good.

Please tell me the last time you've raced someone that was a good driver AND didn't push his car to the limit.

Kids don't learn.

StreetRacing is never safe. Racing is "safe" in a controlled environment when there are restrictor walls, flags, and when everyone else on the road is out for the same goal. to win. I am not saying I dont street race, I do. but there is no way in hel it can ever be called safe. there is always the chance of say a car being on the road late at night. or a deer running onto the road and either car hitting it. If you want to continually race and there are places near you to do it. then go. go to the local track or autocross. in all honesty I find autocross more fun lately then street racing. bc you can watch other drivers run the same course you just did and get pointers from how they've driven and such.

When you think about it in that light...nothing is safe. Driving isnt safe, neither is flying a plane or walking down the street...there is always a chance of an accident.

Street race when conditions are favorable.

that is very true Blast, BUT when you street race your possibly putting others in a situation that they shouldnt be invloved in. its like picking a fight with someone and during the fight hitting someone else. the outsider wants nothing to do with it but theyre brought into something they dont want a part of. now I do agree, ANYTHING can be deadly, Hell a plane could crash into my house as I type this post (and some of you might like that) BUT thats the risk I take by walking on this earth. and you put it perfectly If your going to street race then Street race only when conditions are favorable which is usually at night.

moral of the story, don't let your girlfriend race for you......seriously though. I never stand on the oncoming, I am always behind the cars.

hmmm, couldn't really see what she hit there. Some kind of big concrete center divider? They should stick that on the "Worlds Worst Drivers" Fox show, that show is hilarious. Remember the one with the SUV that goes clear across the highway, bangs the cement, bounces off, hits the cement again, then turns and goes AAAALL the way to the other side of the highway and slams into that cement wall before finally stopping. God people can be retarded.

Alcohol and cars don't mix!!! That girl had to be either drunk or a stupid ass bitch. Also notice the ppl drinking in the background. I hate stupid ppl. :o)

really? I coulda sworn I saw the front left portion of the car crushed and raised (like the look like after the offset head to head crash tests) when it went across the road to the right. That's what made me think she hit some kinda divider. She also kinda richocheted of the left and got shot off to the right. Ah well, this is the reason I've done all my racing at the tracks.

Oh man, I hope that's not the case. It's one thing to hurt yourself while driving stupid, but to hurt others? That's another whole level.

Dman, the "part Deux" was just in reference to this being the second topic on the dangers of street racing posted recently - no missing part one of the vid.

A little more info on the video from the mailing list I got it off. The boyfriend (drunk) was in the passenger seat with his girlfriend driving (her first race). She stalled it at the line and when she did get it going and moving again, the drunken idiot immediately hit the NOS button which caused the inexperienced GF to spin out. Yes there were injuries to spectators.

i swore i was going to laugh before i saw this...that is really sad, but yeah stand behind the cars if you watch people racing, only bad part about that is everyone runs into the middle to see who won
