Well you have to read the previous post(warning it is a mile long) to understand what's going on. The latest update with my Celica is that not only did the mechanic at the dealership mis-shift it.......the car was mis-shifted BEEEFFOOOORREE I bought the damn thing!!!! Turns out that the previous dealership didn't replace the head and my current dealer is saying that is why my CEL keeps coming on!! Can you believe this crap?!!!! I called my attorney today, and he said we probably have a "good" case against this dealership. I really pissed with this dealership ...I'm thinking new Celica with TRD upgrades.....ALL OF THEM!!! Can you believe that these guys told me that TRD was developing mods for the Celica when I bought it back in FEB of l;ast year......I asked about mods and stuff because I was trading in my "old" 91' Eagle Talon Tsi AWD which had some upgrades on it. I was excited about the "new" car but I also was happy with my killer Talon, so I asked him if the was gonna be able to make my Celica faster. He told me yeah TRD has stuff and I would have the same kinda aftermarket stuff like the Talon.........WWRRROOONNGG!!! Guess I should have done more research before my impulsive purchase. To be continued......

Yeah Skamikaze.....I wish they would do that but they'd probably f-up the install on that also and turn around and blame it on XS Engineering for a design flaw or something! Man,...this is crazy and it not over yet!~ What would you ask for...to feel like you got compensation?

u'll get cost of depreciation, punitive charges, plus lawyers fees from Toyota. it then comes back to whether Toyota will buy back the current car or just do an exchange.
U should see ~ 28k, the lawyer ~7k.

Well fortunately I have a very powerful lawyer and he's relatively cheap because he's did cases for me already and I've refered him to others. Box: I don't know if you read the first post("Is this the end? What do you think..") but Toyota has "washed their hands from it and the dealership is trying my patience and prolonging this ordeal. Static: What would be fair compensation if it were your Celica? Hell I should tell'em give me Brian/Dom's Supra from the Fast and the Furious......oh wait that has a stick shift in it they might mis-shift it!!!!:(

Well, of course its logical to go for the best you can get. But what I'm thinking is if you get into a legal thing with Toyota over this, their just not going to hand you a TRD Celica, even though probably moraly, they should. They will give u fair value for you car/time/and legal expenses... and that is what I would go for unless my lawyer thought I could get more. Perhaps the fact that they lied to you when u thought u were getting a new car.. could put the price tag a LOT higher because in a way they were endangering you by misinformation.
Now if their willing to settle... then a TRD Celica shouldn't be a big deal to ask for... : )

Sorry to hear about all the crap your going through too.
If and when you get your money, I'd go to another dealership for your new purchase. Screw this dealer!!! They definately don't deserve your money! Good luck. Keep us updated.
