Alright, some stories to share here:

First race:

This is the second time this month an IS-300 wanted to race me. I'm on the highway and I was on my way to visit my friends on the coast. I see an IS-300 dodging traffic behind me just hauling tail. I speed up a little for a potential race. The car slows way down right next to me and starts reving and pulling and braking and looking over. It's a punk kid and he's in the ghetto position (one hand leaning over the wheel with the head up front acting like he's tuning his stereo). I look over and downshift to fourth. We were already going about 75-80. We go for it. The road was pretty open as it was late at night. We're exactly equal all the way and I started pulling on him just a little bit as I shifted to 5th. Race ended quick and we slowed way down. He tries again and this time I pop it into third as we're going a lot slower. I catch him and gained on him big time. Flashed my hazards at the end he gave me the head nod. Fun race. I was waiting to get revenge since the last time I raced the IS300. Had an exhaust this time and no spare in the back :-)

Second Race:

Today going back from lunch. I'm on Kirkman in O-town and I'm cruizing, Same thing, saw a red car hauling tail and through the traffic. I see the light up ahead turn red and just kind of followed him to see what it was because I couldn't make out what kind of car it was because there was a lot of traffic. Light turn green and I finally get behind him. Next right turn red and we're both next to each other. He looks over. He's playing some wicked rap. He points forward signalling he wants to race followed by some revving. Now I can make out the GrandPrix badge. A Pontiac!!!
Alright, it's on, I never raced one of these before. I rev a little. Light turns green, I slipped and dropped around 2500 rpm and it's on. His launch was crap and I took him all the way through second gear and just killed him third. He's still trying and when we hit 90 it was all over. He flashed his lights and gave me the thumbs up, but I could see he was not happy. Put a smile on my face though :-)

Fun race. I'm betting he was an automatic. Anyone know more about the Grand Prix and its capabilities?

Best regards,

Fin

P.S. Mistrimeat, what do you reckon?
