listen to this...i put my car in small show here in town yesterday. from what i saw, i had a very good chance of placing. my car seemed to be one of the cleanes cars out there. my friends and I stayed up till 4 am both friday and saturday getting it ready for sunday. anyways, guess what? I didn't win sh*t. at first, i was like owe well. better luck next time. but after seeing the cars that beat me, i was a little disappointed. well, my friends and I then decided to ask them to let us see my score to see what I needed improve on. well get this, they had lost half of the forms with the scores and mine was one of them. so it was like i had never been judged. the winners were picked from the few forms that weren't lost.

can you all believe that sh*t! never again will i enter a small show.

Did you wire a bomb under the judging stage or tables?

I find that often helps your odd of winning...

If you paid a fee to enter, I'd demand it back. If not, there's nothing really to do. You know you had the better car. I'd let it go and get ready for the next show.

are u sure ur gonna win a show wit the big boys? those cars are CRAZY... they like cars that are so tricked out that they're not driveable (too low, illegal stuff everywhere, etc) Small car shows probably the only place you'd have a chance....

just reading ur mods.... winners of big car shows are like companies who have oodles of time, money, and resources...

i'd say mod a lil more and enter again...

yes, I did pay a fee, but they would not return it.

I know I don't stand a chance against the big boys in huge shows. I ment entering show that have several well know sponsors. There's another show on spring break at South Padre island that's being sponsored by streetglow, budweiser, and several audio shops. It's nothing compared to the huge shows, but it's not as small.

btw, I have little more mods in mind for this next show..

that's how i thought about it when I first entered the show. I don't mind losing, but it wasn't fair for alot of us cuz it was like we weren't even judged. it was fun when I got there though. I turned heads like a muthaf*cker. alot of people stopped what they were doing and stared at me while I drove in. :-)

it's pointless to waste money on those things...I went to a small show like that, paid some $20 to get in, only to look at a few civics and integras. $20, gone.

I went to a show that I normally would have placed in, They normally Judge in categories so that the people with less mods you know don't have TV's and such don't compete against those who did, well I left my car in my Garage for a week and drove my sisters car so that I could spend my time that I was home cleaning my car, It was spotless, when I was judged they told me I had the cleanest car there, but they put everyone against eveyone, the cars that placed included #1 a mini Truck that was just featured in one of the trucking mags, an eclipse that had a 15" TV and PS2 and bunch of crap under the hood, and others that had hydrolics, TV's, and that had at least 20 grand in there cars, That made me mad because If they had done classes I was sure to place,

I entered a car show in my old neighborhood a year ago just for the hell of it (I had a 98 Civic at the time)...It was 100% Domestic and classic autos/hot rods. I was the only import there. Of course I didnt place, they didn't even have a category for me. But when I drove in there and parked, I had the biggest crowd around my car I have ever seen. I don't think those rednecks knew exactly what to make of it! It was fun, though. Alot of people were approaching me asking all sorts of questions about it all day, from kids to seniors. Those shows are meant to be fun, I dont really even see it as a "competition".
