And wow does it feel good. Turns out, the Acura dealer wasn't very smart. Nothing was bent. The alignment machine at the Acura dealer wasn't calibrated right. I thought something was wrong when I saw the readout they gave me. Nothing was wrong with the rear suspension, yet, their readout showed the back wheels doing very different things.
The front wheels were badly out of alignment. But the reason was that the jolt had misaligned the front strut tower brace. Acura never bothered taking it off before trying the alignment. The Lexus shop simply loosened the strut bar, and the suspension returned to its proper location. They aligned it within specs, and I was out the door for $100.
So all in all, the car is back and running just fine. I want to check the exhaust system for leaks, but that's about it. If the stock one is bent, then I might go afternarket. I don't think there is a problem though. This misfortune cost me $500 even, and a few weeks of patience. I am going to be selling my slight scratched front lip that will fit any 97-01 Teg. It can easily be fixed and repainted. I only want $100 for the part, which sells for $400 from Acura. Let me know if someone in Houston is interested.
Just wanted to update you all.

That's good news Yakko. Glad to see you on the road again. :)
Hey, Yakko, I've "been under water" lately. What happened?

If I am not mistaken, Yakko lost control and slid the R into a curb, causing some damage.
Glad to hear the R is back in shape!

Nice to see you back around Chui. I was on my way over to propose to my fiancee and found some gravel while going around the curve of an entrance ramp. The back end quickly kicked out, and the car hit the curb at about 40 mph with both front wheels ending up on top of the curb. Damage extent was the front lip scratched, the suspension knocked out of alignment, and the driver's sideskirt is scratched underneath. I got a new front lip from Acura that comes painted from the factory. Then I got the car aligned by the Lexus body shop after Acura couldn't do it. I'll probably replace the side skirt in the future, but you can't see the problem except for underneath the car. I still need to check for exhaust leaks. That will be next week. But it's finally back.

No, I simply have a Comptech Icebox intake, a DC 4-1 SS header, and a set of AEM pulleys. I need to check the connection at the header and the one back by the rear wheels for exhaust leaks. I looked at it yesterday, and it looked okay. I'll jack the car up next week and get a better look.

Can the week get any better? I get my fiancee back from Japan and my car back from the shop in the same week. It's been worth the last two weeks of hell.

I myself was wondering how it would feel. I am definitely missing her more. I don't drive the R but once every other week or so, but she's a part of my daily life. I've missed her terribly, while with the car, I was more concerned with figuring out what was wrong and how much it would be to fix it. I know I am more excited about getting her back than the car. I guess I'll know how much more later today. She is an integral part of my life. The car is just fluff.

I picked her up yesterday, and I must say having her back is the best thing in the world. Two and half weeks was just too long of not seeing her. I hope we don't have to go through that again. It will probably be another month before I even drive the Type R. :D
