First I thought it was dirty, then I clean it, then it still can't read it. Now I'm stuck listening to the radio for the very first time. I just noticed that the s2000 antennea reception suck. I need to figure out a way to boost up the frequency for it.

Can I take apart the CD player when toyota dealer check out the problem because I need my car to go to places? Is your stock CD damage also or still in good condition.

is it under warrantee? if it is, get it replaced. if not, time for a new headunit. stock headunit has like no power anyway. there IS a difference between like a 55 watter and stock... huge difference. maybe check audio forum, which is where im thinking someone will move this thread. trust me though. new headunit. you wont be sorry.

Of course aftermarket headunit will sound better but i just wanna keep the stock in good condition if I wanna sale my car.

I'm in school now and i'm waiting for a follow-up interview job position. So I need the car.

Can the dealer fix it in one day or they gonna order the whole stock CD player and have to wait like 2 weeks or so.

i dont know.... time will vary. i'm assuming they'll have them in stock, seeing how most of the toyotas have the same headunit. however, install will probably take more than a day. especially if you take it to a big dealer, where there are more vehicles to service. only one way to find out. call the place. ask for a quote and/or time required.

when i first got my gt-s about a month ago the cd player wasnt working.. the person that had it before me had a cd jammed in there.. when i went for the test drive i never bothered to try the cd player.. so when i tried it and found that it wasnt working i just went to toyota to fix it under warranty.. it was no big deal but they did have to order it.. i think i waited about 5-6 days for the new one.. but like FriedRice said.. it all depends on what dealer u go to and what they have in stock.. call em up.. good luck..
