It looks more like wheel flares, but I think it looks hella tight, just dont like the R2 front bumper, but the widebody part of it is looking pretty good IMO

I am still of the opinion that R2s side skirts look like a--. As to the wide body flairs. They look good except they don't blend well, and they have those studs on them. It's cheaper to do it that way, but I'd rather just replace the entire quarter panel. It'd definitley look cleaner. From a distance it does look pretty cool though. Now, if they could have only increased the tire width for these pics. Then it would be really cool.

Hmmm...the flares do not match with the car at all. It looks like someone tried to force that thing on. I dunno if anyone else thinks this, but I say if you took the top off, the car would look like a Audi TT wannabe IMO.

interesting. i think it would look just a lil bit better if it was molded to the body instead of bolted on, but it does look pretty cool tho.

Can't R2 just get some molding puddy and cover up the bolts the and the line that accents where the fender is attatched to the body, and then repaint it? If they could do that, I think it'd make it look a lot better.

do you happen to know the rims name? Is it 5zigen? If it is tell me the size/offset. THanks

I actually saw those rims at R2 autodesign before that put them on his car. Those rims are not 5 zigen. I forgot what kind they were, but I was told that they go for around $300 per rim for 18". Oh, btw the rim quality is good.

If they only made the fender flares in crome that would be hot. Those rims are by 5zigen that wide body is sponsored by them and of course R2.

ahh, it's nothing special..Its not a real widebody, its a set of fender flares..If u guys want a real widebody, check this out, here is the real way to do it. It might cost a grip of cash but if u want a real widebody car... first get yourself the stock front fenders and stock quarter panels from the dealer. have someone make fiberglass or carbon fiber copies out of them. once u have exact copies of those parts made. have a very good body shop join them to the car OVER the stock panels, your car will now have wide fenders that look stock, because they are stock. now, get the body kit that u want and have the front and rear bumpers extended to match the wide fenders. If this is done, u will still have the nice stock celica lines, but will have a IMSA GTU race car look, match it with some wide tires and youre set. the wider look will be noticable because the doors are still gonna be stock. If the fenders are made out of carbon fiber, weight will not be an issue. if they are made out of HAND LAID fiber glass, not cheap sprayed on fiberglass the fenders will still be light. Sure, what i'm describing will cost a lot of money, its the REAL way to do a wide body, not this fiberglass fender crap that that silver car has. I know this will work, bcuz my friend did it to his 96 eclipse gs-t, and it looks tiight, it doesnt look all tacked on like everything else. lates.

Got a reply from R2 AutoDesign:

Thank you very much for inquiring about our
00CELICA fender flares. The flares will only be sold
exclusively at R2autodesign, and Molded only, due to
other companies imitating or copying our products. The
flares will cost about $1,200.00 molded but not
painted. (will be sold as custom bodywork only)

THank you very much!!!

I really dont see how it is that wide, but all I can tell is that it has some kind of fender flares or wheel well flares. Personally I do not like it. They can only really make the body kit as wide as the car is, except for stuff that is sticking out.

1.2k is a lotta money....ive seen flares on other cars (ie-honduh) and they dont have the bolts and screws and whatnot that show up on the silver. If they could disguise the screws or whatever...it would look good..... not a real widebody, tru, but something to add to the body kit....

$1,200!! damn, R2 must be high on crack or something to charge that much for those...i can probably have something like that done( not that i would do something like that to my car) for about 600-700 bucks...painted. And the sad thing is that when u get sick of it, like we all do about mods to our cars..It cant be reversed..and like i said, its not a real widebody, its kinda cheezy, and is not JDM approved!!!! haha lates.
