New Hot Wheels Celica (Not the Yellow Celica) [Archive]

Just some FYI. I was at Prestige Hobbies in Buena Park and saw a new Hot Wheel's Celica in Red trim and new sponsers on it (either Wings West or Modern Image logo, I think) It was part of their Tuners Line. They were selling it for 1.99 there so now i'm in the hunt at the Target's Walmart's and Toy's R Us's in the area now. They also have a new Civic one in blue as well.

Well if you can't find the Hotwheels Celica that you're looking for you can always hit ebay. That's where I got my Yellow Hotwheels Celica.

I'm not gonna pay $5.00 + $4.00 shipping for a hotwheels, I found all of mine at target.....so time to go shoppin!

Why pay $1.99 for one if you can get it for .$50-.99 at the other stores and get more. I'm not cheap its just that I don't think its worth $1.99 for something that just came out. I'll get them soon at least i know its there and they exist plus if i go out to Frank n Son's which is a toy collectors swap meet it will definately be cheaper and I can get more.

Its every Wed. night from 530-930 and from 9-5 on Sat. its out in West Covina off Fairway drive. They have a lot of sellers for Hot Wheels and alot of Star Wars, Baseball cards etc. The place is called Frank & Sons. I'll find out if they have them there I'm headin to that place Wed. night hopefully.

Larry, I know the wings ugly but what do you expect from Hot Wheels.

I had no choice, I went to every place I could think of to find the Yellow Hotwheels Celica and no luck. From Toys R Us, Kaybee, local Hobby stores, etc. So I just went to ebay.

thats funny i just picked up the red one the other night, and around here (Raleigh, NC) our stores must just have gotten a new shipment of yellow celicas in because i swear i see more of those than any other hot wheel car!!!, yeah the red one is pretty cool, although its pretty much the same car with just different paint, the windows are tinted, the wing is white and it has different "rims", anyway i also bought the Nissan Skyline. all for 88 cents....but i'm pissed though i can't find the stupid Civic one. if anyone wants to trade some let me know....heh heh

Well finally got my Red Hotwheels Celica over at Frank & Son's. They also had the civic there as well, actually the blue one and the black civic as well as the Skyline, but for $3. They also had the little 1/64 scale R/C celica's for about $40. Maybe the next time I go there I'll get that.

Sorry Bat I think its just San Diego. I have no problems finding stuff here in LA/Orange County.

Frank & Son's is kinda like a Swap Meet out in West Covina off the 60 exiting Fairway Drive and go north and make a left before you hit the railroad tracks. They are only open on Wed. from 530-930 and on Sat from 9-5 Great place to find alot of toys. Next time you are goin up this way let me know.

Yea I do the same thing as well if I knew the value of toys when I was a kid I should've done the same thing, especially the Star Wars toys and my old Matchbox and HotWheels which I still have by the way. By the way does anyone know where you can get the Tomy Cars in the LA/Orange county area? I am looking for a 30th anniversary Celica Set in a black box. I have the white and blue one already.
