I'm almost positive I have a crimestopper pager alarm of some kind. I got it with the car I recently purchased used. I have this "remote" http://www.asianwolf.bigstep.com/Images/2remotespics2.jpg (the one on the left without the clock)

Currently this system is annoying me horribly. The previous owner gave me NO manuals at all. I've looked here:

http://www.crimestopper.com/manuals.html and it doesn't seem to have a manual for my system . Maybe I'm missing something?

1.Currently the alarm will arm itself automatically after the car's motor is turned off.

2.How do i stop it from arming itself and how do I put it in Valet mode?

3.Where can I order a new remote from ? I want a GOOD RELIABLE dealer.

Thanks!!! I really appreciate it, I have ZERO experience with electronics/audio/security in cars. =/

to turn off the passive arming y ou either have to
a) program it somehow
b) change a jumper/cut a wire loop on the brain

i have no idea about crimestoppers, but that's usually what you have to do for other alarms

do you have a valet switch in the car? if so, you could put it in valet like that

Just call Crimestopper and talk to them. They will help you out. You might want to dig under the dash and find the brain for the alarm. That way you know what model it is.

Thanks for the replies guys. My buddy has a compustar and he simply does a key in the on position with a button hit on his remote combo and it goes into valet mode. And on www.crimestopper.com they have a ton of guides, but apparently mine is too old. All of them include key combinations to put the car in valet mode simply using the remote.

Anyways , I'll try contacting Peter at Asianwolf .... thanks

Dug around on crimestopper's website. They don't list a lot of these on their main website anymore. Here's the pdf's for most of the alarms as well as their old alarms.......
