The MR2 easily outhandles the Celica.

Ohhh, I bet you meant a drag race, something neither car was really designed to do.

The MR2 will win up to 30 mph, it will get close after that. Assuming both drivers are pretty good, the MR2 would have about a 0.4 second lead after the first 60 feet (from a standing start). From a rolling start I actually think the GT would win the race.
