whoa 300 hp and awd..i dont dink it would come to dat....i'm glad they've decided to change the door handles...the previous generations are just horrible..

i dont see why Mazda would make the Miata more poweful than the RX8. It will be pointless on trying to promote the Rx8 and the coming RX7 if they offer a roadster with more power. More likely 2.0 lt with some Variable Valve timing around 180-200hp i would say.

I think that the current design is great...They just need a 200hp max engine in there to compete w/ more high end roadsters

Hey, you posted the exact same pic that has been posted at least 3 times before. That thing is a piece of crap, I hope Mazda isn't dumb enough to ruin the Miata like that.

It gets good gas mileage and has enough room to carry groceries and materials for work. Plus it would be a pleasant experience with the top down and the go kart like handling but I since I have no real use for a 2 seater from day to day lifestyle I'd use it as a beater.

You don't much about F-bodies now do you? Same seat config as nick's Z28. I can carry four or five but I can't vouch for their comfort back there...........

Exactly why I say it is a 2 seater. Because I would def not ask anyone to sit back there. :rolleyes: Yes you could argue and say it is diff because you actually do have the seats but being realistic...No it is a two seater.

Short trips and small people (but I had some considerably large people to fit inside with out much problem sans entry & exit of the vehicle) are fine. Not much different than any other 2+2 coupe. The car is not made shuttling people. There are sedans, minivans and suvs for that.

So, a pleasure car is a beater, and a utility car/appliance is your "pride and joy"?? How does that work? I'm not following.

Usually, people that have a Miata or something similar consider their other car a beater (winter, Home Depot, dog, people car).

There's nothing saying you can't enjoy your beater. I wouldn't use it for any thing specially oriented. (car shows, trips where I want to show my pride and joy off, taking a client or GF out to eat, etc). I define beater by the car I would be puting waste mileage on..... Trips back and forth to work, school, grocery store, home depot......... that add up and take its toll over time.
