Whats up people, I've been pondering on what car I should buy for around 10k-13k for a while and I cant make up my mind. I have decided to ask for the expertise of the members here on what you all would do and why. This would be a second car as I will still have my car and I will be modifying the car I purchase....so if you got a sec tell me what you guys think.

Buy a late 60's or early 70's muscle car and do it up.

Your right I should be more specific....I want a sports car that has four seats. Cant be a bike because I need to take more passengers when I go out. It would be a second car to not have to take the celica from Gainesville to Miami anymore because its about 300 miles. Thanks for the suggestions so far.

I dont want it too old as it still has to be reliable. I was thinking 98 Trans Am...does anyone agree?

2000 mr2 spyder

you can get one for about 15k used. Then sell anything you dont need (front trunk plastics, interior panels, a/c, floor mats, etc...) And you have then spent about 13k.

heres some weights of stock spyder parts...

Drop a 200 lbs and add 25hp and you'll want it to be you daily driver.

:werd: but i would lean a lil more towards the GSR because eclipses tend to break a lot. But both have huge aftermarket.

97-98 240sx. It has the upgraded lights, rwd, reliability, and it's made to boost. A manual tranny will be hard to find, but worth it if you can find one.

they are also slow unless you swap in a sr20det. and 240's arent made to boost, silvias are. You do get great handling, looks, and breaks.

Good luck on tryin to find one of these... oh, and let's just say you ARE lucky enough to find one... your sure as hell not gettin a RELIABLE one for 10k :thumbdown

the 240 is a great drift car, but yes... it does lack power in stock form. I'd say get something like the 97-99 gs-t or the GSX... which are also hard to find a manual that hasn't been raped...

Get a decent truck and lift it. You can easily find a truck to seat 4, you can find them relatively cheap, you can easily mod most of them, and you'll enjoy the height, plus have the ability to throw crap in the back. Trucks are fun.
