To reply to the last comment, I am sure I can answer it for him. Most of us here can't afford a Lambourghini (sp?) and that's why we drive Celicas. But we can afford to do mods here and there as we save up extra cash. So I say go for it, be original and win some shows with your Celica.

the lambo mod is only a project that will have an approximate billing of near $3k and paint will be done after that mod......for your information

Ok well allow me to retort...

I didnt have a particularily rough night... maybe i'm an ass by nature but i dont think so... i dont have a fast celica.. i have a stock GTS when it comes to power mods... and i have a blown engine... and no i didnt get laid last night (maybe thats what it was)

I think i was just posting some constructive criticism... if you cant take it then you shouldnt ask for ppl's opinion and then say you dont care what i think after it doesnt come out the way you want.

I think you should do the following:
1) Thank everyone who wrote positive things just like you blasted me for my negative comments
2) try to post more constructive criticism comments if you think i should change something in my thinking instead of telling me to simply "grow up" or "open my ****ing eyes" ... I think thats what forums are for ... discussion, which doesnt always mean unanimous ageement.

And i apologize if I've posted something that offended you in other posts.. maybe i was trying to be funny and I wasnt... I dont remember the other posts to tell you the truth..

If you do ever get the mod done, please post pics of it right away, i'm interested in seeing whether its gonna look as ricey as I think.

It would definitely be unique and IMO that is a good thing.

You did ask for opinions, and bad or good you're going to have to accept them as opinions.

I wouldn't do it to my car. It just doesn't suit my tastes. However, if that is what does it for you go for it.

Just don't be too suprised when people get upset because $3000 can get you a lot performance mods. Don't be shocked if you get called "rice" either.

Much respect for doing the mod and being unique. I'm sure you could win quite a few car shows with this mod alone.

yeah... everyone does have there opinion on what others wanna do to the cars - whether it be riced or not (i don't get what rice means or where it came from - i'd rather say ghetto.... but slang/sayings are different in different areas)

It looks like the bimmer was braking really hard and the door hinges and locks couldnt hold them shut so they flew open...

thats crazy how they can be held up like that by themselves...

it's just a re-inforced / altered door hinge with the added support from a hydrolic lifter (like for our hatch but can handle more load)

i'm gonna agree with gts_laid and go with no door conversion. not becuase it looks "ricey" i just think $3000 is a lot of money to spend to make your doors "look unique."

$3000 is way t much for that mod, hell it only cost like $400 to do the same thing to my Feiro.
I thought it was going to cost around $900 or so, but damn!! Way to much cash for somthing so lil of gain.
Buy a Modena hood for $800 like I did, at least it actualy helps both looks and Preformance. :D

But hey go for it, it will be prety cool to see. :cool:

i don't think that our doors are particularly good for this mod, our doors do not have the bar over the window, so i think that the doors would be not as strong and could damage the window easily

if you got the $, i'd say go for it...some might think it's "ricey", but you'd probably get way more positive comments on it. it would definately be one of the more unique things done to a celica yet. good luck...
