no more action package

I just got of the phone with a toyota dealer and the entire TRD body kit line has been discontiued. Thats so Beat!!! I bought my celica two months before the action package came out, If I'd of known it was coming out I would have waited. Now you can't even buy it anymore. I hate going through the dealers they suck.

What about the cars that have the "action package" on them when there sold. I saw 2 of them at the dealer a day ago. You can problably order a replacement one from your dealer. They would have to have this option because what if a car with the "action package" gets in a wreak.

The dealer I go through is a rinky-dink dealer, they haven't even had one on the lot.

But, I talked to someone in the body shop and he refered me to a speed shop a few towns over that can get me those kits. Or any other kit I'm intested in. Paint and hang them for a reasonable price.

I wanted the TRD kit because its made of resin. Fiberglass sucks, If you get hit with a rock on the highway it spider-webs out. Resin dosen't do that, Its the same stuff the oem bumpers are made of.

there's at least 2-3 kits out there that's way better looking than the action pkg. if i had to put a kit on my car i'd go with the kaminari. i think it blows the trd pkg away and i work for toyota.

trd discontinued the action pkg not the dealer. why does everyone hate dealers? i'm the first to admit that there are some out there that are a$$holes, but when there's something wrong with our cars who do we run too to fix it?

I see where your coming from, At 12,000 miles my 01 GT-S had a machanical failure. A clip broke off the preasure plate and lodged itself between the cluth and flywheel, scoring the flywheel and side of the tranny, also it cracked my cluth plate. At first they tried to blame me, saying that I was beating on it. But once they opened it up and saw the failure they called me and kissed my a$$. The whole thing was covered under warrenty. I got a new clutch, fly wheel and preasure plate out of it.

So I can't totaly knock the dealers, that kind of damage would have cost me almost 2K.

Hey Top Speed,

I called 15 Dealers in NE in August to find my Red Action Package GTS.
I ended up doing the deal with AutoFair in Manchester NH that sold me the car for around Invoice ($23,500).

Try Paul Hoylo at AutoFair great guy, good peeps. He may be able to check the Toy Inventory Database and see if there is any Action in NE. I get one more speeding ticket and my wife will probably make me sell the thing:)

I don't want to buy a whole new celica, I'm happy with the one I have. I just want the body kit. I'll probubly go with either a Blitz kit or a veil side kit, which ever is not made of fiberglass.

I saw a friends Honda with a fiberglass front facia, It's only been on since sept. and already has all kinds of nicks and spider cracks on it. I want a good kit and I'll probably have to pay top dollar for it.

hey, so you're the one who bought that red action package celica here at autofair in manchester. That's cool. I saw it there in early fall/ late summer cause that's where i go for all my installs and service. Just sayin' hi from up in NH!
