well....

one of my major sponsors - VIBRANT performance is wanting to send my car to SEMA this november to debut all their new '00 up celica parts (i'll be gettin 'em for free) and we've been debating on wether or not to go out and get my car done up with graphics
i know the paint on my car is awesome and that covering up 1/4 of it is kinda pointless, but as you know..... even though it may be ricey at times, graphics are a nessecity when it comes to showing off the vehichle or the product name (anything to draw attention to it)

i came up with this little idea over the last 45 min...........

please comment - opinons are welcome

I think it looks pretty sweet, I like the way you followed the lines of the car and accent the knife edge around the belt line. Yeah the graphics are showy, but that's sort of the point if you're in a car show.

To me it seems like you are selling out.

You don't seem to want to do it, but you will do it because you are sponsored and want free parts.

Sorry, can't help you on this one. :)

When I finish my Integra it will have no stickers or graphics, just a plain jane candy paint job. Who the **** cares about sponsors? You sell your car out because you want free junk. This just bothers me (in general, not just directed at you).

But we all know the saying, "you car, your money, go for it" :)

yeah.... that's kinda where i came up with the idea because i always thought that the bodylines on a celica are hard to work with, but on jotan's celica (even though his is paint and mine would be vinal) the lines they used, followed the lines of the car beautifully !!

in response to DGibb......

in a way it may seem to you like i am selling out, but hell..... it ain't like i am gonna have them on there forever and whats wrong with a little free stuff here and there - i won't be paying for the graphics nor the expenses for the 4 days in vegas

Ricey, flashy, I don't like orange paint jobs....

but I kinda like it.

if i do end up getting my celica wrapped and splattered with all these graphics, i would end up wanting to go with a "reflective" bright blue, with the accents being black and silver......

fyi, those are vinyl graphics on my car, not paint ;)

i think those would be good, especially for your show car...

the blue/orange combo would work really good and attract lots of attention...

i say go for it!

I agree.. the graphics themselves dont look too bad but the orange/blue do NOT go together at all. Try it with different shades of gray and black.

BTW, I still prefer it without the decals :)

Orange and blue always mix baby.....Go Gators, I dig it.

it was recomended to me to do the orange/blue combo due to the fact that the two colors are opposites on the color spectrum/wheel and that when put beside each other and not mixed - it is awesome, but if combined together you get brown, which turns out shitty

not - 76 gas, denver broncos, florida gators, ext.

but i could end up changing the scheme to orange/black/grey because well..... SEMA isn't for another 4 months

like i said...... opinions are welcome, so let me here what ya think !!

i think black or grey would look better than blue

btw, what kind of products is Vibrant Performance going to be selling for the Celica? The only product I saw on their website is the Type-V exhaust...any others??

I vote for Black.

Even if you do get away with Orange and Blue combo, your rims are powdercoated black if I remember correctly and that's going to throw everything off. Just my .02

Blue + Orange = YUCK. The design isnt bad, though. Maybe diff. colors wouldnt look so nasty. Roll calls are played out too.

orange and black are going to look like halloween. I think you got the right approach going with the complimentry color to orange which is blue.
