Is Mobile Authority a good or bad brand? Im thinking of getting the 1200w 2ch amp to run one 12" solo baric (the square one).
Is it ok to use one ch. to run the 12 or two? And will it bust the solo baric? Thanks for the info in advance.

I actually had a mobile authority amp (4 channel). I would say that it's a good amp and delivers quite nicely since it had adjustable gain, crossover and fequency cut-off controls. Be warned though...when they get hot, they don't seem to deliver the adequate power they do when they are at normal temperature.

I have all Rockford Fosgate amps now...and they are much better than the Mobile Authority. Of course the M/A amp was a lot more affordable. The fosgates cost an arm, a leg, and a 8==> :(

You can basically wire up to 2 subs on the M/A amps. That is if you wire them up into their own channel like sub #1 is on the left channel + - and sub#2 is on the right channel + -

You can get more bass though if you bridge the subs together by inserting the + (positive wires from sub 1 and sub 2) into the positive terminal of the left channel of the amplifier and the - (neg. wire from sub 1 and 2) into the negative terminal of the right channel

try these methods and see which one you like the best...that is if you already bought the amp.

Thanks scorip1o. Oh yeah the amp has a built in cooling fan. would that help?

yep....the cooling fan definately helps out a great deal since it tracks the temp changes of the amp and cools it down when it heats up....
