Things that drive me nuts around here

I thought I would open up a thread where everyone can complain about things that annoy them on this board and maybe it will make it a better place. Think of it as group therapy

Heres my List
1. WhEN PeOPlE uSe RaDOmN CapItIlIzATioN

2. Speak english here, I hate it when people ask questions about "da car" and how "dis happens" and "den that happin"

3. Please have some kind of focus when you ask a question Although I haven't seen any in a while I always hated the "I have $50 what should I buy for my car" threads.

4. The help "I beat the Shi* out of my car and now Toyota won't fix it under warranty" or "Stupid Toyota is giving me a hard time for about fixing damage due to my abusive behavior" threads

5. Go* Dam* it use the search button

6. If you want advice about buying a new car, narrow your choices down to cars that are similar, stop comparing apples and anvils, "getting rid of the Celica should I buy and EVO, a lincoln towncar or a motorhome" (Alright its not usually that bad but comparing hardcore sports cars like an Rx-7 or Corvette, supra etc, to any of the usual sport sedans is stupid atleast decide if you need/want four doors and cargo room then come talk to us)

7. No I don't need to see pictures of your APC euro tails

8. Threads that are created just to bitch about something

Yeah flaming is lame, it makes people just seem like pricks. Thats for OT anyhow. But basically I just hate the people who think they know it all and you are a stupid fool just because you don't think the same way as they do.

Though I agree with most of your points you have to remember that this forum is not here just for your personal use. Everyone here uses it the way they want and however they see fit. So long as they follow the rules of the site they can talk however they want and ask whatever they want so long as its Celica related.

My best advice to you is dont read all the posts. If you see something that annoys you then move onto the next post :)

1. when ppl in the For Sale forum list things for pick up but don't have a Location Tag.. and then when the mods tell them to put a location tag, they just reply with where they are located and think that everything is fine and dandy.. I like that no location tag = locked thread rule.

2. when ppl get ripped off on this board. I think that we should implement some rules on the For Sale forum for ppl to sell things to help reduce the amount of ripping off that goes on here.. i.e. the User must be registered for at least 1 month and have at least 30 posts or something.

4. Blue bats constant self-promotion as any reply to any appearance mod. (hehe j/k. =D)

I love how this comes from someone with a whole 89 posts on the board that has only been on the boards for about 6 months. Don't get me wrong here, you make some really valid points.

But really, I think that these boards have gotten a lot better than they used to be. When I first signed up for the boards, the new 02's were just coming out and it seemed like every other post was about a mis-shift or rev limiter on the 02 being lower. That got really annoying really quick.

I agree with users who rip off the rest of us, from Monkeyboy to OE Tuning. Just a bunch of crap. And really, not much left to do but pay more for something from a reputable shop. At least that way you know you'll only pay once to buy something.
