DD kit?

does anyone have the dd kit on their car yet? do u guys think itz safe to run a 50 shot with it?

I don't know if anyone has the kit yet. But I really doubt you could run any nitrous while on boost.

I imagine a small, well-tuned shot of nitrous could be safe (?), before the turbo spools. But isn't the kit supposed to have a small turbo, with little lag anyway?

No, nitrous is a bad thing. If you want to run nitrous in addition to the turbo you would have to have engine work done.

Yeah, the turbo on the DD kit spools at about 1800-2000 rpm... and any type of nitrous shot at those RPMs would introduce soo much torque it would just rip apart the tranny... if not the engine. Very bad idea.

But, since the DD kit works with the stock internals, I suppose you could hit it with a 35-50 shot at the right time (upards of 4500 rpm). But I wouldnt, you'd just be asking for trouble.

Nitrous with Turbo are usually reserved for Drag Cars with big turbos. It keep to spool the turbo to help reduce lag.

For your car, you have no reason at all to use it, its pointless

For all the people who ask about turbo and nitrous together. Try putting on the turbo and see'ing how you like that before you dig yerself in further.

Its along the same token as people saying blah only 220whp. Unless you've driven a 2500lb car with that much power you have no idea what your talkin about. If you own the car and then still arent satisfied, then look for more options.

what about that nitrous kit that just sprays the intercooler with nitrous? would that be safe to do, its simply just cooling the intake charge some more.

Yeah, that should be fine with DDs kit.

Cooler air gives more power and prevents pinging. C02 is cheaper than N20.
