im going to get 18's this weekend and i was wondering if i can get feedbacks from people who are running 215/35/18 and 225/35/18.. i want to go with the 225's but they are so expensive. its like $150+ for yokohama's the cheapest i found was hankook tires for $136. so im looking into the 215's because they are way cheaper. please post up any info on these tire sizes.

What the width of your 18's? If its 7.5, then I suggest getting 225. If it is 7, then I guess 215 should be fine.
I am running 225/40 with a 7.5 width and I found that it is holding up well. I have Nitto's 555.
Here is a link on for 215/35/18. The price is pretty good and it includes free shipping.

I am running 225/40 too. You wanna have the extra protection for your rim. You dont want to hit a bump and have your rim bent or cracked. Its better you spend the extra money so save you from buying a new rim later on.

The 555's I have I purchased with my rims were used a bit, so I don't know how much faster or slower it wears out compared to other tires. I know the treadwear on mines is 300, which is pretty good. My Yoko A520 stuck a lot better since the treadwear on those were 180 I believe. So I couldn't tell you for sure if they wear out faster than others or not, but I do believe you can get a good amount of miles out of them.
As for wet conditions, it is okay, but its not the best. I wouldn't recommend them though since you drive in the rain a lot. Under higher speeds, you WILL lose control in the rain if you try to brake hard enough, and that is from personal experience. But for the price, they're a good set of tires. Hope this somewhat helped.

I would guess that width of the tire relative to the wheel has as much impact on "protecting" the wheel as does the height of the sidewall.
Put a 215 on an 8" rim and you're probably asking for trouble.

parada spec 2's get really loud after they are worn down though. It sounded like my tires were rubbing against the fender wall (but they weren't). Great performing tires though for the price.
