my bro just ordered rims from wheelmax...and when he was putting on the rims at the shop..... the mechanic told him he needed some centering rings.....then he called them about it...and they said that the wheel might wooble at high speeds but they dont supply the damn centering ring.....just thought to tell u they suck.....

You need hub-centric rings for virtually all aftermarket wheels. They're very important. On cars that require hub-centric wheels, like the Celica, the weight of the car is held up by the hub, not the lugs.

The stock wheels don't need rings, since the hole on the back of the wheel perfectly matches the mounting surface. Aftermarket wheels usually use an oversized hole, and then use hub-centric rings inside there to match specific cars.

I think high-priced wheels, like HRE (http://hrewheels.com/), can be custom-made to eliminate this need. But HRE makes Volks look cheap :)

Wheelmax blows. Their customer service is the worst ever! I have a thread up back earlier this year regarding them.
