Did someone say there was a TSB on the belt tensioner?

I've looked all over for it, cause mine and other friend here on campus both are squeaking badly. i tried different things including a $6 bottle of some belt conditioner, and they only fix it short term.

we went to the dealership here and they wouldn't do anything about it. the chevy and toyota dealership are together and the service department for toyota is at the chevy building... maybe that's why, cause they dont really work on toyotas...

can anyone get that TSB # if it exists?

yeah im curious as to why there isnt a TSB on this problem yet, cuz EVERYONE seems to have it. i dont wanna take shyt from toyota when i get there and ask to have it fixed. i jus wanna give them a TSB # and say fix it.

I would really like to see a reply on this as well. I'm gettin squeaking from my belts but upon initial inspection, couldn't see where the tensioner is.... I may try that belt conditioner to see if it will solve the problem. I didn't feel any slack on the belt itself either.... was there a particular brand of belt conditioner that you used?

I've tried belt dressing, and white lithium grease. They only work for a day and then the squeek comes back. Where is the belt tensioner at?

sorry guys... no TSB.. no recognition by toyota on this problem... when i had the problem they replaced both the tensioner and the belt under warranty.. other than that i dunno what to say really.

Hey guys i have a noise coming from my belt area but i dont know what it is? i have had the tenisoner pully replaced 3 times now!! It makes a (woie woie) sound

I've had mine replaced 2wice and it hasn't gone away, now they just say it's "normal driving sounds"...whatever...the sound now travels...sometimes it's on the side of the belt, then other times it dissappears cuz it's on the right side and goes away when i press down on the clutch...any ideas?

Actually....a TSB that my dealer pointed out to me about the belt tensioner was for the Corolla. Same parts, same engine, same procedure. May make a good reference.....
