So who's popped a motor?!

Mis-shift, hydro Lock, Too much bottle, etc, etc....

I popped my first 2zz with a NICE mis-shift...the car wouldnt even run lol..

Got a new head/cams, etc, etc...

Second time...

Decided Id try a new tecnique on bottle...

Ran the track 3 or 4 times....Never let off the bottle between shifts, missed 2nd gear 3 times in one run! hahahaha

Car didnt quite run right after that night...But hey...I pulled some SERIOUS mph, i think i went like 105+ with like high 14 second passes burning tires into 3rd gear...that was silly......

I broke my #3 piston landing(the part of the piston that the rings sit in....

Got that fixed under warrentee, and got a new motor = )

Mis-shifted my celica @90 mph went to hit 4 gear and i got 2nd got a new long block from toyota under warentee..........it happens to the best of us. Havent had any problems since

Just did last night, triplegay took forever and i didn't sleep till 7am, weeee...not a convential method of destroying a motor, will soon know how it all happened. :\

yea. i guess the warranty service writers are the idiots usually. today i got one going "your shifter is sqeaking because you lowered the car and it raises the shifter." i was like wtf, you want a mushroom on your face??

just tell them that they are trd springs and thats covered still.

4-3 shift at about 115 i think. missed 5th motor screamed at 11,000rpms but it didn't blow untill 2 weeks later. Any tristate toyota dealer wouldn't fix it, i had to bring it to toyota dealer in penn to get it fixed under warrenty.
3 pages of parts from the repair order :)
The dealer near me wouldn't fix it cause they went on this site and saw my miss-shift post and found a few videos of my car racing.

i misshifted and bent valves at 20 000 mi ... one time ... and another time i fried a rod bearing at 55 000 mi ...

I misshifted mine at about 40k! Got a new shortblock and reconditioned head under warranty. AND it only took about 2 months! Then i read posts about how people would get their cars fixed (after a misshift) and then break stuff several months later!!! So, I sold it!

I blew one, due to oil starvation. Toyota refused to cover me. Got rid of the car after that.

I've popped a 4runner engine. Had 93k, gunned it, heard some horrible metal sound, then the whole car started shaking like crazy. One of the cylinders got fuked up, piston broke, engine got trashed.

Oh and this was an automatic.
