Hey guys,

I'm looking around for some tires to use at the drag strip on some GT rims I recently got. What are some good street legal tires for the strip? (These will be used at the strip only, since they're only two GT rims).

FYI: I have no experience with drag radials, etc. I've only run on my stockers.

But for dedicated drag tires, I might try 205/50-15 Falken Azenis Sports. The Azenis is an all-around performance tire, not a drag special. But it's cheap and grippy.

You could also try some barely street-legal autocross tires. I've been waiting to see those tried at the drag strip. :)

The Nitto NT555R or the BFG g-Force T/A Drag Radial would be more conventional choices.

The shorter gearing of the smaller tires should also be an advantage at the strip. But it'll screw up your speedo/odometer. And using smaller tires upfront only will screw up your brake bias and/or confuse the ABS system. So track use only :)

how so??? i run the 15's gt rims daily, i my abs work just fine ;) im also running the azenis on them, they work good, but honestly they dont grip as good as i hoped on the strip. with the 15's my tires break so easily. i just sit there and spin the tires. i would go with the nitto 555 drag radials, since your not going to use them much
