GT amp?

I know that GTS has a factory amp in it. Does the GT have a factory amp? I have the upgraded "premium" stereo system. It has 6 speakers, so i'm not sure if it has the amp. I recently installed a Kenwood dvd player, and it sounds fine, but i didnt bypass any amps. MY friend, who installs stereos for The Good guys, says that ALL celicas have the amp, and must be bypassed.

Nevermind. I decided to go look under the dash myself. And yes, it does have an amp. Its pretty easy to bypass... so i guess thats what i'm gonna do tomorrow. Thanks anyways

Ummm.. Are u sure?.. I thought only GTs has Amp... I better look in my GT tomorrow.

The "premium" system means that you have an amp and 8 speakers. Yes, I know there are only 6 locations that you can see but there are 2 stacked on top of each other in the lower part of the door.
