Also, the Version II CF hood won't be available until the end of August and would probably cost about a little less than $1k with shipping and importer markup

More actually. :( I paid below Japan retail (my friend's cost) for my ver.1 hood and still dished out $1k because shipping was KILLER. OUCH. :furious: I'd say that realistically, you'd look at closer to $1200-1300 shipped from an importer who's able to get it.

Apparently C-ONE doesn't offer a good price break even to distributors in Japan, so dealer cost and retail pricing remains high.

I think the hood would be GREAT if it weren't for the vents off to the sides, really like the scoop but the vents kinda kill it for me. The lip, think it'd look better if the "molding" didn't come up as high as it does. *sigh*, if only designers could read my mind.

the hood looks ok. the lip looks pretty good, but i like the old lip better. the new ones seems to go up too muh on the side.
