Good call. Sentra SE-R Spec V will smoke both base model RSX and Celi.

Or how about a SVT Focus? It's about $18K too.

True, but it's a Ford. Therefore I can not recommend it.

Sure the Spec V has 175hp but have you seen one in real life? Looks pretty crappy compared to a Celica... Of course if you are going for speed then that is probably the best bang for the buck...

I own a celica but this is my unbiased suggestion based on facts and previous experiences.

First of all, stay away from anything with the name FORD on it. It's bad news, they are JUNK. FORD = Fix or repair daily.
I owned a 98 mustang cobra...Fast but it was always at the shop. Besides, the focus has to be one of the gayest cars out there, although the SVT will probably be quick...

As for the Sentra SE-R Spec V, my buddy bought one about a month ago and one of his power windows is already not working...I know, it can happen to any car, but a brand new car??? To tell you the truth, I drove it and its not that impressive.
well...it's Nissan quality...not the best.

I think the concept of the Focus and SE-R is good, 170-175hp with a six speed tranny which everyone has adapted after the celica gt-s, but overall, you cannot tell me they are appealing cars...well maybe compare to your grandma's Buick.

With the Celica and RSX, you have the peace of mind of Toyota and Honda quality, the best in the industry.

Hope this helps you decide.

I know you guys have heard this before but the spec v doesnt even put down 175 hp / 180 tq it is more like 165 / 170 which is sad.. and if you are looking for speed the spec v doesnt really have it because the gearing is for coming out of turns which is good for an auto xer.. it also weighs more than a celica gt like 250 lbs more.. think that isnt a big deal ever rode in a celica gt with two girls in it plus driver... slowville.. think that extra power is going to make up for it? not unless you can shift at 6100 every time.. dont hit fuel cut...

EDIT oops i posted under my girlfriends name she didnt log out this post is by Stnicralisk

There is a Spec V running a 15.1 bone ass stock out there with slips. So I have a good deal of respect for them.

15.1??? No way. They don't have enough power. More like a high 15. I like the Spec V's. I saw one in person and thought it was a nice looking car. I don't think it will sell well though. It's gotten alot of bad press on the power output.

There is nothing wrong with Ford quality. The Focus is the next generation Civic weather we like it or not. It's selling like nothing else and has twice the aftermarket of us or most any car. The SVT focus is going to be fast!
