I clicked on a link and looked at one, but I don't understand what you need it for and what it does. Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question but I am about to purchase a nitrous kit and want to know as much as possible about it before I use it.

when you use nitrous the general rule of thumb is that you don't want to use it below 3,000 rpm. So that being said you can either keep an eye on it yourself and such. or what you can get the window switch
It basically monitors your RpM. so Lets so your friend is in the car and he is retarded. You're driving and at like 2,000 and he hits the switch for nitrous. The switch won't complete the circut cause its not at 3,000rpm yet.
So the idea is its a safety feature. It can also turn off the nitrous say at 8,000rpm if you're on the GTS I don't remember where the redline is on the GT.
