Ya, I'm from Norman.

Really? That's cool. I live in Broken Arrow. If you check out that site there are some other guys from Norman too.
What color is your Celica? I have a red MR2. My name's John, by the way.

My Celica, when it arrives, will be a Black '02 GTS. Going into my third month of waiting ... cross your fingers.

I'm from Midwest City. I've been waiting for my red GT-S for over three months.
redvalkyrie
02-01-2002, 10:26 PM
Wow, there seems to be alot of you guys from OK here. It's good to see you all waitng for the GT-S instead of the just getting whatever was available. I am sure you will be very happy.
GTSgoVROOM; do you happen to go to TCC in Broken Arrow?
What kind of mods do you all have planned for your Celicas when you get them or what have you already done?
ArriFlex
02-02-2002, 12:24 AM
Heh, well I've got TRD springs, S2K antenna, and a Kenwood Z828 (PRICE BREAK EVERYONE ... they just went down $220 in price) sitting on my floor waiting for the car to show up. Then, I'll be removing the butterfly valve.
Next would be new rims or a HID kit.
ArriFlex
02-02-2002, 12:28 AM
Hey absolutely_6-sp, which dealership did you order yours from?
redvalkyrie
02-02-2002, 12:32 AM
So, are aftermarket parts hard to find for the new Celica? Do you have alot of options?
ArriFlex
02-02-2002, 12:43 AM
"hard to find" is relative and I haven't bought a bunch of aftermarket parts for my cars in the past ... so its hard for me to say. Seems easy enough to find and there are some available ... What I think everyones burn is about is there just aren't as MANY aftermarket parts for the Celica as there are for say ... a Civic.
absolutely_6-sp
02-02-2002, 12:21 PM
ArriFlex, I ordered mine from Hudiburg in Midwest City.
redvalkyrie, I plan on getting TRD Sportivo suspension, TRD exhaust, TRD fog lamps, S2000 antenna, 17" rims, Injen CAI.
redvalkyrie
02-02-2002, 01:00 PM
Ah, I see about the parts. I was wondering because when the new Celica first came out there was alot of support for it but now all of that seems to have died down.
absolutely_6-sp, going the TRD route, eh? Weren't there some problems with the TRD suspension in SCC magazine test?
Do you guys get good power gains from bolt-ons or is this engine hard to make power from?

Oh yeah, I've talked to xero_degrees before.
That's a very pretty Celica you have dragonfrog. Arkansas owners are welcome to check out the above website also. You can even join if you wish. We are just trying to get a regional Toyota owners' club going so we can have some meets and whatnot.
The more the merrier.

hey spanish! is it the black auto gt? i saw that up at dub richardsons when we went to talk to them about our title from the wreck celica. so he thinks he's a bad ass, huh? hehehe. i saw that thing and just couldn't believe they put that on an auto. then again, my fiancee said that it was prob geared to people like her who couldn't drive a stick and wanted a good show car. it was still funny, though.

Sorry about taking so long to reply... I'm not on the board as I use to be. =0) All I got is an AEM CAI and S2000 atennae. That's it. I'm looking for a good exhaust. Anyone selling?
redvalkyrie
02-03-2002, 09:49 PM
Well speak of the devil! If it isn't Xero_degrees. How have you been doing?
Oh yeah, I know OK-Speed. Everyone's my friend there.
Spanish Rice; very nice Celica.
GTSgoVROOM; Do you want me to see if I can get a discount on the TRD exhaust?
So, I like Spanish Rice's idea about the meet. Anybody else interested? Some of my other friends and Toyota owners are going to the Starbird Car Show Feb. 8 in Tulsa. Or we could meet at some other time. Whatever works best for everybody.

redvalkyrie
02-06-2002, 01:37 AM
I'm good for either day. I will go ask the other guys in Tulsa and OKC what day would work best for them.
I have no idea about the place. Do you guys prefer something closer to your homes?
redvalkyrie
02-07-2002, 10:53 PM
okay, looks like the guys I know vote for the 16th. Now we have to decide between afternoon or evening and OKC or Tulsa.
Evening gives people more time to get off workand show up. That's what I would lean towards.
If we go with OKC someone else will have to send everyone directions and pick the place we meet at. If we go with Tulsa I will continue arranging things and give out directions. If we go with Tulsa we will most likely meet at my house and head out from there once everyone shows up. My house is very easy to find. All you have to do is get on the Creek Turnpike and head towards Tulsa, get off on Memorial, go 1/2 mile over to 91st then about five miles down to my house. I would give better directions if we pick Tulsa.
Just so everyone knows, I live in the suburb of Tulsa called Broken Arrow. My neighborhood is safe for your cars. I can get about four cars in the driveway and there will be planty of parking in the street. I know everyone in the neighborhood so NOBODY will mess with or hit your cars while they are there.
Either place will work though. Let me know which way you vote.
Here are how things look so far:
ME, 91 MR2: Tulsa
Vracing, 91 MR2: Tulsa
Flyboye, 89 Supra T: Tulsa but from OKC
norinshi, MKIV Supra: Tulsa but from OKC
and one unconfirmed OKC vote:
SpeedR, MKIV Supra: OKC
Then we have some Tulsa members that I haven't had time to call yet but they will most likely vote Tulsa as well.
Justin T., MKIII Supra T: Tulsa
Eric, 97 Camry: Tulsa
Kris, Cressida: Tulsa

OKC Vote here...Otherwise I can't make it leaving for Houston next day.
redvalkyrie
02-07-2002, 11:23 PM
Aw man, you couldn't even make an appearance? You guys are the main reason everyone wants to meet. They ALL want to really see your Celicas. Apparently you guys have the coolest cars. We wouldn't make you stay. Not all the votes are in yet though.
Arriflex, you can come if you want. Having a Celica on the way counts as owning one.

Damn.....If I could get Xero in here. He is asleep I guess, but for me its a 3 hour drive from Ft. Sill. Thats hell a drive then have to come back 3 hours and drive 6 hours the next day to Houston. Hell.. I dunno. Somebody wanna donate gas money? and Caffeine? I wanna come but I have a trip ahead of me the next day. Thats why I said OKC. I'm meeting ya'll half way, but I dunno. If its Tulsa its probably gonna be no. OKC probably be yes. But whatever guys.
I'm SORRY!!!!!:wtc: :wtc: :wtc: :wtc: :ugh: :ugh: :ugh: :ugh:

what the hell? I posted a reply earlier. Oh well.
We had a meet on the 16th. It went great. We had 3 MKIV Supras, 2 MR2s, 2 MKIII Supras, 2 IS 300s, 1 Alltrac, 1 Cressida, 1 Camry, 1 911 SC, 1 S4, and 1 GSX.
Everyone wants to have another meet but if you guys want it in OKC you will have to do the planning. We don't mind driving all the way up there, we just don't live there and therefore know enough to plan a meet there.

Yup, the meet had a pretty impressive turnout.

Here is a picture of my car. The picture is not that great but, its the only thing I have. And I change the height of the spoiler and add the front grill to the bodykit.
