car jerking

I have noticed that sometimes the car jerks when accelerating. I don't mean that I slam on the gas but it seems that the rev limiter goes up to like 3 and then the car jerks and drops down to like 2. I thaught it might be the brakes are not being released but I have never heard of such a time. can anyone help me out.

you mean while switching gears? it may be that your are gassing too early when switching..

i didn't mention it but i have an auto GT

oh.. hmm.. not sure about that, i test drove a gt auto for the heck of it when i was buying my car, but it didnt jerk. you may check the transmission fluid or take it into the dealer.

I noticed that too when i was in the market for a Celica, the Auto GTS jerks on me after 1st goin to 2nd.. i thought it was normal but it may not be. oh yea i was in normal mode
