imitation Lambo's (pretty funny)

Dont know if this has been posted before, but this company sells imitation Lamborghini's - looks *exactly* like the real thing, but is 4 cyl or whatever...and costs $25,000. Maybe this is why I keep seeing Lambo's at local car shows:

I wouldnt want one that SAYS "Lamborghini" on it, but it says you can put whatever engine in it that you want. Only thing is that overall build quality may totally suck. Other than that it might be fun to have a custom car to play with / modify.

I have always liked that spaceship looking / edgy styling... and although I would not want one with 160hp and sounds like a 4cyl, I think its a neat idea...

Those are actually called kit cars. They use the body of a fiero to start the body chassis then they weld extra bars to the frame to make it wider. You can do a complete look alike lamborghini Diablo that looks perfect for under $40,000. IMHO Ghey!

I cry when I see people do this to Fieros. Sigh... yes they generally use Fieros as the base for these, as well as Ferrari conversion. Don't expect nearly the performance of Lambo though.

there was one where i live that had a yellow kit on an old camaro chassis and motor, but it looked like a lambo...

yeah, these have been around awhile. I've seen several on the island for sale with smallblock Chevys in them.

Also the Cadillac Norstar engine has been used in them too. Actually I have a friend who stopped moodding his car to build one. I think he's crazy.
