View Full Version : Who wants to help prototype parts with Crower?

I've been talking to and emailing Brian Crower from Crower Cams and have some good news. His exact words in one of his emails to me were:
"1zz and 2zz are high priority. Looking for some used cylinder heads to get
started. Heads can be damaged, but one cylinder must be intact with cams
springs, retainers, valves, keepers. Anything out there?"
He told me that if there is someone that can send them a Celica head (it only needs one good cylinder, everything else can be blown), that person will receive a complete Crower engine package (including cams, springs, retainers, etc.) for FREE. Brian told me that they'd be able to develop the package using the parts you send them by March or April of next year. FREE sounds pretty good to me. I'm contemplating sending my cams there instead of Gude, since Crower wants some GT-S cams in addition to the GT-S head, and is offering me free performance cams after he develops them. Also, they ALREADY have developed stronger connecting rods for our engine, but I didn't get the details about that yet. Whaddaya think? For more info, give Brian Crower a call at:

GT owners,
Crower needs your help, too. They want to make products for BOTH the GT-S and the GT. Now THIS is a company that we should support and communicate with. Hopefully, we can find some peeps to help out. Oh, by the way, I think it's the FIRST person to send in their engine parts that gets the FREE Crower performance products, so don't wait too long.
fyi.. my old head is going to Crower.. the friend I gave it to is sending it in :)

yea i'm sending a head to crower. You might see if there any of the other company where int if you going to take it off anyway. if you where only taking it off to send then you don't have to worry about it anymore.

Great job following it up Keyshawn. :)
Things are looking up for us again. Celica RZ, try contacting Dave over at skunk2 to see if you can get something going with them. I'm talking to John at hytech.
Soon well have headers, cams and internals ready for distribution. This is great. If there are other bold people, there are still some pistons (wiseco) and some sleeves (golden eagle) that would love to be tested.

I'm not really into looking for free parts or anything...I just want the parts to be there when I decide to get it, so whoever does get it for free, more power to them.
But more competition for parts makes them better and cheaper right? :p I'll email Skunk....
Icyjaws - I'm curious are you sending the head with the complete valvetrain (camshafts, springs, valves etc) or just the barebones head?

As far as I know, no one with a GT has committed to sending Crower their parts yet, so if you could spare them, I think they'd gladly accept help from GT owners who want some engine internals too. I'm a GT-S owner, but I want BOTH models of our cars to benefit from this! Let's take the Celica aftermarket to the next level.:)

I will send in my cams to Crower to help out as soon as I have the time to spare, but we need to work together to the aftermarket industry can start making parts for our cars! This is also might jump start our aftermarket.
Imagine this:
Crower will be the only company making internals parts for our Celica's. They advertise here, then the only way to go is Crower since they're the only company making parts for us. We go faster, they make their profit. Makes everyone happy. Then other companies see how much money we sink into our cars and just MAYBE, they'll start making parts for us.
