08/09/03 - BBQ Meet @ QuikSilverGTS's Place - TeamXtreme.us

Disclaimer: This is not the first official TeamXtreme.us meet although this was supposed to be posted on the tx.us forums but we are currently having tech. difficulties over there. Further more, this in no way overrides the prospective lunch meet because I for one..still wanna school some of u foos in ball. :D

In any case..
Amidst the uncertainess for a lunch meet among others and not to mention the drought since we've all had a meet with quite a few members (both nc.org and tx.us) present, I was starting to feel a bit anxious and wasn''t to happy about the idea that to date the 24th was the next meet presently on the schedule. Well my anxiety has been subsided...for now if the weather permits.

Louie (QuikSilverGTS) accepted the call to host a BBQ meet at his place. Although this post is a bit on short notice, I'm sure we can all come together and make it a success. It is essentially important that I get an ACCURATE list of who's coming down as food will be needed to be catered for the masses. Not to mention, Louie will be doing his best to secure parking spaces for the Celicas' that will be in attendance.

So without further ado..please reply to this post with "I'm in" or "Maybe" with how many guests you are bringing. Please this is important!!!! Let us know how many people is coming down with you.

I will update the list accordingly so we have an accurate perspective glance at what we're looking at in terms of attendance. Also..on a sidenote - feel free to hand Louie $3-5 when you see him. He's hosting this meet out of the kindness of his heart and when I spoke to him about costs, he was more than willing to bare the financial brunt ALONE. I however am not in agreement and since we're not a honda club or crapmaro.com boars - We do it right. Therefore..although this is a free bbq meet..do the right thing and hit the brotha off with some dough when you see him.



As far as weather goes...we can cross our fingers and hope. But in any case Lou says he's also prepared to take the party indoors. As I'm hearing....yes drinks will be available. Please do it responsibly.

If the weather is good im leaving at around 11am from port chester, ny. Its in westchester county near white plains and new rochelle (if u never heard of port chester before)

Coming from NJ its exit 10 off of 287 about 12min over the tapanzee bridge from NJ.

parking situation is looking good. I went out by Lou's place to survey the backyard and inquire about parking and he said he's got it covered.

Comin from your end hmmm.. arent u by the NY Thruway? If so..take the thruway into the bronx..cross the triboro..stay on the grandcentral parkway which is what the triboro becomes..the direction you will be going in is East. Jus stay there. Take the Grand Central East to Long Island Expressway (L.I.E) East. Make sure you take it East. From there just follow directions to Lou's house which is Exit 25 off the LIE.

Well, I had a blast...it was great to finally meet everyone. And I haven't been that hammered in QUITE some time...I'm exhausted! After all, I am an old woman :D A big thanks to Louie for his hospitality and his stash of alcohol ;) and for my ice cream, ha.

Too bad you guys didn't get to hang at the Moose, but bar-hopping in heels in a terrential down-pour is always nice ;) LOL..and of course, my sister and her friend had fun, too! Thanks! Until next time :)
