For those who are lazy and kinda illiterate on changing oil...watch out! I brought my car in to get my oil change...everything went well...the next day as I was driving on the I-64..I started to hear something scraping like as if my front bumper fell off...of course I got all frantic and pulled over on the side of the road...come to find out it wasnt my bumper but the skid plate thats right under the oil pan...I looked at it closely and found that the people who changed my oil didnt put all the screws and sockets in to hold it together....Of course I went directly to where I got it changed and spoke to the manager..they apoligized and screwed what was left of it back in..they said that they would give me a call and pay for a replacement skid plate..

Well as I was driving today on the I-64 it was reallly windy...so windy that I could feel my car drifting to the right...so I had to keep tugging it back into my own lane..all of a sudden..I run over something big..look into my rear view and see a big black thing gettin run over by other cars...the first thing that comes to my mind is that its my skid plate..then I get home, turns out that the whole wheel well liner and plate on my drivers side was missing...you can literally see my intake right in front of you, if it starts raining Im f@#ked...I am soo pissed...I go to the nearest Toyota dealer to see if they have one in stock...they dont as usual, and so I have to order one...the total comes out to $135!! just for a piece of plastic...it makes me even more pissed..I could of used that money for a shift knob or something

MORAL of the story: If getting your oil changed by someone else please remember to check to see everything is back into its original place and fully secured!!

Sorry this is too long..have to vent my anger somewhere!!

damn man that sucks. That reminds me of the time I had my oil changed in my mr2, when I got the car back the jackasses forgot to put the GODDAMN OIL CAP BACK ON! So naturally my car just starts gushing oil when i start it up cept I didnt notice till the oil started burning on my block/manifilold 2 blocks away so i drive back mad as hell, and bitch the manager out, they give me a friggin $5 dollar credit for my next oil change and wouldnt even clean the oil that was all over my engine bay, saying it would "burn off eventually". Needless to say the $5 credit never got used... and they went out of business shortly there after. go figure. You know the old saying dude, if you want something done right, do it yourself.

About a month ago I went to the Toyota dealership here in town to get oil change. Well, after the oil was change I went for a drive around town. About 5 miles after, I smelled something funny, like something was burning. I did not mind it much , just thought of maybe something was in the air!!! about 2 miles later, I heard of grinding noise inside the engine, Sounded worst than sqeaking belts. So I stopped the car and got out and was shocked to see that oils was streaming out from bellow the car. I got in the car quickly and drove back to the dealership. On the way back the engine check light came on, so was the oil light. I got to the dealer and they checked the car out and showed me the oil filter, turned out the rubber sealer ring was broken, appearently the person who installed it did not notice the ring was broken!!!! I was mad. They told me they checked the engine and it was fine. They washed the car undercariage, Oils was all over the underside, some got on the TRD exhaust and that was the cause for the foul smell. Another thing, when I got to the dealership I got out and saw that the hood was not closed. I am still paranoid till this day, I caution you all to check everything to see if they are fine after every oil change, because anything can happen. One last thing, many times have I found out that the ill designed fasteners for the various pieces of plastics for the Celica undertray were gone after getting oil change. That is all.

Hehe, this is exactly why I always do my oil changes myself on the weekends. I agree on the fasteners thing though. Right before I bought the car the dealer had its oil changed and the guys didn't put the engine bay plastic pieces back in, so I had to get new ones from Toyota. $1.25 for those little pieces of crap!
