i was seriously considering the 3sgte swap but i heard there would be wayy to much fabrication involved since the engine is rwd based. now, i was thinking about the is300 engine swap with- a xs turbo in the future. why you ask? b/c the is300 engine with the xs turbo is dynoed at more than 600 whp (from what i have seen). and since the engine is a lexus/toyota it would not be that complicated. whaT are your guys' input on this?

isnt the IS300 also RWD? so that would mean the motor is RWD based as well.

It will take a lot of modding for it to fit in the Celica engine bay. Also, it'll totally throw of the weight balance of the car.
Let's say a turbo kit comes out, and you have somehow shoehorned the motor into the Celica... how do you know there will be room for a turbo, intercooler, and all necessary piping?
I think you're better off trading the Celi on an IS300, then building up the motor and boosting it... it'll probably be cheaper in the long run.

2JZ wont fit in a Celica, we've been over this millions of times

Well, there was a shop that had a Celica and had a 3SGTE in the Celica...they said it cost a lot of money, a lot compared to the money you are going to pay for nearly any other swap for any other car, but it worked.

if the 3sgte has a hard enough time fitting in there what more with a v6!

well, ididnt think about the fact that it was RWD or that it was a 6 cylinder engine. it just looks so small. oh well, time to look for a smaller more economical engine.

The 3SGTE engine is probably the best you are going to get to fit in there. Plus there are plenty of people that have that engine over 400Hp which I think would be more than enough..

The 3SGTE is usually mounted transversly, either in an front/AWD setup, or mid/rear drive setup - so it would not be an issue to adapt it to FWD in the Celica.

Id like to see a 4AGE and keep it all motor

Except the ZZ engines are the replacement for the A series of engines, and the ZZ engines are superior in pretty much every way shape and form.
A 100% race prepped 4AG is still only about 220-240 hp, and that is when revved to 10,000+ rpm. All of that and you will have no low end torque.
I've spoken with quite a few racers who have test the 4AG head and the 1ZZ head on a flow bench and the 1ZZ outflows the 4AG.
Imagine how good the 2ZZ head must be (since it out flows the 1ZZ).
A 3SGTE or Camry V6 are the most reasonable engine swaps for a Celica, *maybe* even a tuned RAV 4 motor (at least you get some torque that way). All of those options will cost more than the current turbo/supercharger options for the Celica.

I wonder if you could swap a B18C into the Celi engine bay
As said before, not only will the 2JZ not fit, but it will throw off weight distribution a lot... The iron block 2JZ weighs only slightly less than the aluminum 1UZ V8.

NO...you would be better off with the 3SGTE the IS300 is RWD I6 first of all its an Iron block and 6 cylinders and it will require more fabrication then teh 3S...i dont think u kno wat your u getting yourself into...if your going to put a 1Jz just put a 2JZ in and you better have moer then enough time and an extremely fat wallet.

Import a BEAMS, dual-VVTi 3S-Ge... 220ps/215hp from 2.0L of naturally-aspirated, four banger.

he would be better off building up the internals and getting an XS kit. im assuming he wants to go fast...if he is "seriously" considering a engine swap the he has enough money to build of the 2zz block and get an XS kit and crank the boost up to 1 bar. the car will be much lighter then having an iron 6 or 4 and u willl have jsut as much power.
