in my opinion... tanabe is the best looking exhaust. as performance wise, im not sure if it is good as the trd but u still get more hp than stock. the sound is really nice too becuase it has that throaty-racing sound. personally, i like it a lot. when i get my celica, i am gonna get the racing medallion.

I just bolted up my TRM to my friend's GT. He absolutely loves it. Previously, he had been running a N/A N1 custom setup, and he said the TRM provides a noticeable power increase. This could be due to shoddy piping on his custom setup, but nevertheless he's stoked.
Personally, I'm bummed I sold the damned thing.

hehe yes I guess I am!! :)
When I first got it, yeah I really was enthused! I guess because the low and midrange response was so noticeable, plus the look of it. It's very nice and shiny, hehe. But there's a straight away right by my house that I always use for practice, and I thought that the exhaust just needed a bit of breaking in to bring out that high rpm kick to it. The truth is, the powerband is very linear now, with the 6k crossover being hardly more than an audible change rather than a kick in the pants, even in 1st gear. I figure that could either mean that I've gained a LOT of midrange and the difference is not very apparent anymore, or that it really just doesn't perform well at the top end. Looking at the design of this exhaust, I'd have to say that the more logical reason would be the latter.
Don't get me wrong, it still pulls hard, but not with as much animal urgency as before. *sniff*
I was going to redyno the car and do another tuning session, which I may still do. We'll see... I dunno if it's really worth the extra $80 it's gonna cost me tho, I doubt there's that much (if anything) to be gained by doing another tuning of my S-AFC.
