neons in trunk

i'm installing neons and strobes in my trunk.. but i want to hook it up to that trunk light. where do i have to hook the wires to, and can i use that switch on the trunk light to turn on and off my neons and strobes?

why not just put a switch up front somewhere that way you don't have to get out just to turn them on and off? it would be easier IMO.

i want them to turn on when i open the trunk.. just like the trunk light. but then i want to be able to turn them off with that switch as well just incase i want to .

anyone?? i'm leaving for home to do this install... would be great if anyone could give tips in the next 15 mins. cuz i dont hav a comp at home anymore.

I did this, I just unplugged the light and spliced the neons to the wires on the plug. When I open my trunk, the neons light up the trunk. And when I close it, they go out.
You really don't need to wire it to the switch because why would you want them to light with the rear hatch closed?

yea thats what i did. i installed some neons in the footwell also.. only i used the neon lisence plate frames cuz they were on clearance sale for 10 bucks.
