For those with weird engine noise...solution...

Ive read some posts before about engine noises at idle, sounding like a rattle like marbles in a jar. i had the same noise and had it fixed. I took it to my dealer and they found that the bearing in the tensioner puller was on its way out. this is the pulley that keeps the correct tension on your pulley belt. i've seen some people on here say that i might be normal since a couple of u have had it, but i'd sugest you getit checked out, its under warranty anyway. tell ur dealer to replace the tensioner pulley under warranty. my car is back to quiet now.

yeah man. tell them u have a rattling noise and u want it fixed under warranty. ive seen some people on this board say that some service dealers told them it was noisey injectors or something and not to worry about it. but tell them straight up to check the tensioner pulley. this could be a possible fault on the celica.

Well my car makes a lot of noise, i mean u can really hear that ****, at idle the needle jumps back and forth, and the engine sounds like it has some loose screw inside of it boucing around. But thanks for the post, i should get that checked out. Now i know what to tell then thanks.
