200 hp civic

i was reading through motortend, and came across the 200 hp civic (probably type-R) thats supposed to come along side the RSX type-R. It's coming within a year. so all you guys who want the Si, i suggest you wait a little while. 200 hp civic is coming. and it looks a helluva lot better than the Si too.

toyota, bring over that 190 bhp corolla!! its time!!

I still think its BS. MT is always wrong. I remember a few months ago they said honda is keeping the passport name but using it for the new honda version of the mdx, but in this months issue they have the new first look at the honda pilot (the honda's replacement for the passport and is the mdx honda) and plenty more misinformation in that "news" section. I'd love to have it the ctr over though.

just read in Import Tuner that the Civic Type R will not reach the American shores and that is the one that is 200hp..

190bhp Corolla = 180bhp Toyota Matrix XRS...it's out in the US in February...which is just about now ;)

naw... it was a corolla.... like a real corolla, not corolla MATRIX, just a corolla. it was 190 hp. had a funny name though like ALTENDA or something like that. was at some auto show...

MT may be wrong, but their living is cars, so i'd just give them the benefit of the doubt.

and larryd...... the article didnt say type R, but im guessing it was. theres a picture, and THATS the type-R i remember seeing on other car sites and stuff. type-R and Si look different... that was definitely a civic and im like 90% it was type R.

as for details.. they said bringing civic type R over along with RSX type R. RSX type R gonna get even more sportier.... 220 hp, suspension upgrades or sometihng...... but with lanevo and wrx, im not too surprised if indeed japan decides to bring over some (EDIT: OTHER) performance cars......

then again i could be totally wrong ;D
