Hello just wondering how everyones headlights are lasting ?

Post how long you've had them, condition, and type of paint you used.

nice .. so no peeling or anything .. cuz i don't want to have to redo it too often. I just have to do it right the first time =). Time to do a search to figure out how to paint. Quickly though do u suggest sanding it with a high grit sandpaper if i'm going to only paint the underside? so that i can still see the lines?

They are holding up fine. Do not sand anything. Just clean everything very good. I used Power Clean from the zone. Also I have a weird haze & you'll notice them only after painting's done.I though something was wrong until I checked out other pics. I think it's just the plastic itself & the paint just makes it stand out, not very noticeable though. Seal them very good also, that will save you a 2nd disassembly to get out moisture.

I want to do this too! What do you seal it with? has anybody dont the inside? And if so do you have any problems with moisture gettin in there?

go buy silicon at home depot and usee it wheen you re-seal. that would help. Just be neat when you ree-seal it or elsee it will look really messy when it's dried up.

You don't even need to reseal it with anything. The glue that's already on there will reseal itself if you don't take it off. And by using silicone, it will be pretty hard to take apart again.

Mine didn't re-seal well. I used the black windows seal to go back over them. I took my time, but there were some places where the original glue didn't seal well. I guess that's your choice, some seal & some don't. I only did it because I had to pull my bumper & spot paint it. I didn't want to drop it again once I got it back on.

:stupid: I just had to replace a headlight because my GF's Brother in-law backed over my car. when I painted the new one with the same paint they look identical. No Fade in the old one.
