Any comments? Grip well, wear well? What size tire & wheel?

Thanks.

I used to run the V700. Very good tire, worth every penny. They work from full depth till the air shows through. IMO, It actually takes 10 or so runs till they really work well.

ON the other hand (I have five fingers) I am not hearing good reviews on the E700. My sources say the Victoracer turns better than the Ecsta, while the Ecsta grips better in a longitudinal direction (ie, puts down power better). The tests were with the exact same size Ecsta and Victoracers. NOT on a Celica.

Another source (different test) feels the Ecsta goes away much faster the the Victoracer.

I run the VictorRacer 225/50/15 in the back and the new Ecsta V700, 225/45/15 in front.

I like the Ecsta better because it's a smaller tire and so far I've gotten good wear in them. I brought them when they first came out in late October and driven them in a few events with no problems so far. Hope the gurus have more opinions on this.

Tirerack sells the Victoracer $1 more than the Ecsta. (in 15's)

Driver's Celica is presently running on a new set of V700 205 50 15.
We drove on them for the first time in the Evo. phase 1&2 this weekend, putting on ~100 runs between us. The front are at ~ 1/2 tread, the rears are nearly new.
I have run the E700s and the V700s on my Miata, and are still undecided on the E's They were very "squirmy feeling" the first time out, and though better after 3 events, they don't inspire the confidence the Vs do. I want to like them, since they are new and lighter and cheaper, but I'm not there yet. It will probably be sometime in March before I run them again. Meanwhile it will be Vs and Hooisiers @ Ft Myers for us.
