Well, bad news i no longer have a celica, on Sunday morning i flipped the car. Basically i was going too fast and the road was wet, the car fishtailed slid across three lanes smacked into the guardrail and flipped over and slid back across three lanes. I was able to unbuckle myself and get out of the car. I am bruised and scratched but otherwise i am in one piece. I went to see the car the other day in the tow yard and it is wasted. But as always the headlights dont have even one scratch. Also i want to repeat as others have, ALWAYS WEAR YOUR SEATBELT, if i wasnt wearing it i would of most probably died. Anyways i just wanted to let everyone know of my ordeal.

Here are the pics

i do have some parts laying around my house that i might sell soon (i'll post in the for sale forum later this week). As for mods off the car their all gone, my trd exhaust was crushed and i cant even open my hood to get out the short ram intake. I took pictures with a regular camera so i dont know when i will get those developed.

After all these horrible accident stories, I'm pretty convinced at the safety of our cars...Just look at all the people who've totalled the Celica and walked away with scratches and bruises while an Integra owner on this site dies by a simple rear end collision by an SUV. Drive safe guys. :(

Sorry to hear about that. I feel your pain. The seat belt saved your life just as it did in my case. What's your next ride gonna be?

Right now my ride is gonna be my parents Hyundai Accent, i dont plan on getting another celica (it just sucks to put work in hooking up a car and then it gets destroyed in a matter of seconds)

Holy hell... you're one lucky guy, I'm glad you're okay... I also second the seatbelt comment.

I know what it's like to be in a car accident like that. This is a repost of sorts, but I was riding b!tch in my friend's 1992 S-10, with my friend (6'3", 210) driving, and my other friend (5'10", 220) riding shotgun, nobody wearing seatbelts. As it were, there was no power steering in the truck at the time. My friend Derek who was driving was hauling ass (~40) down this curvy gravel road which was at the top of a ~100ft embankment. He guns it around one of the curves, lost control, couldn't steer fast enough, hit the ditch on one side, which flipped the truck into the air where it rolled once, landed on it's tires and rolled another 1 1/4 times. We landed on the passenger side, and we all crawled out. My friend who was riding shotgun had some minor bruises and a pretty severe road rashing on his right arm. My friend who was driving lacerated his left elbow really bad when it went through the window. I had some minor bruises and a severe concussion from when my head hit the roof...

I know how you feel... with the exception of losing my car...

Glad to hear you're okay!

Glad your to hear you are ok. Remember that is the most important part. A car can be replaced but a life can't. Good luck with getting another car and be safe.

I actually saw a report put out by some major car magazine, don't remember, maybe JD Power or something, but the Celica was in the Top 5 of Vehicles Not Likely to Roll.

I wouldn't post about your accident too freely....you never know who reads these forums....ie insurance agents. You just admitted it was your fault. I guess it doesn't matter since you will be held at fault regardless.

Everything i posted about the incident is exactly how i explained it to the cops and insurance agents, so no worries.

Yeah i was suprised the car didnt catch fire either, but the gas tank was in perfect condition, its just the area where the spare is kept that is destroyed.

:werd: even the consumer mag has the red celica with trd kit cover and it says that the celica is the most reliable and most safest car.

I'm glad ur ok, sorry about the loss of ur celica

Wow!

That is much worse than I thought! You must have been traveling pretty fast.

You are lucky to be okay.

The celica did its job again.

I'm glad to hear you are ok, and I second or third the FACT that seatbelts save lives! On a different note, if your TRD exhaust was an extended one, I would LOVE to get the end, not the exhaust, but basically the last part unbolted with the tip. I might be getting a bodykit in the future and would need an extended length tip. Dibs. Man I feel like a vulture or something.

Again, glad to hear you are ok!

The exhaust was standard length not extended, either way the hangers were broken off from the exhaust so it would of been useless anyway.

when threads this old are found, I find it more phenomenal than the resurection of lazarus.

I just want to clear up, that this accident happened over a month ago, so the car was already declared a loss and taken by the insurance company, so i dont have access to it anymore.
