I found a pretty cool video (too short though) of the developers of Gran Turismo (Polyphony Digital) at the Motegi racetrack and clips of the new steering wheel and beta tests of the game itself.

download it here (Thanks to t2000gts for hosting it) (http://subzero.mine.nu/celica/gt41teaser_qt.zip). It's zipped and in quicktime format.

And the Z at the end of the movie... :hitit:

Great video, and it looks like it is going to be a great game, like all of the GT games before it...but if they don't put a clutch function in this game, I am going to be pissed as hell...I hate how in GT3 you drive around and have to use the paddle shifter things on the back of the steering wheel...it feels unnatural and unrealistic.

Read the article in the Sept issue of Super Street. You'll understand why GT4 doesn't support a clutch function.

that's the way it is in formula 1 and a lot of newer and high end cars (some Ferraris, and also the MR2-Spyder), it's also a lot cheaper than putting in a mini stick/pedal with the steering wheel unit :wtf:

Yeah, think about how much that wheel would cost putting that stuff in it, its just a lot more economic putting paddles in.

Yeah I know, but I ended up spending over $100 for the last game's wheel, so getting the best wheel for the game isn't very economical to begin with. I was just saying it would be awesome, I didn't expect people jumping down my throat about how F1 cars use it, which really isn't very relevant since out of all the cars in the last game, maybe half a dozen could actually come with a paddle shifting system. I don't get Super Street, so could someone tell me why there isn't a clutch function?

I'd love a clutch realistic driving sim, the only one I've played with one was an arcade F-355 simulator by SEGA. That was cool.

i love that game. It's a little too easy to get over your head in the turns but its very realistic in shifting and the 3 screens are really awesome.
