JL w6v2...what amp?

Ok i'm gonna gte a JL w6v2 i heard they were pretty good. but not sure what kind of amp to get...pretty sure i want a Fosgate amp cause i allreaddy have one (so the amps will match) i have a 200 by 2 for my components. so what kind of ampo should i get for the sub? How much power? i alreaddy have a cap waiting in my closet :) thanks guys :)

u need to get a high power amp. i forget how much w6s can handle but im pretty sure they can handle a whole lot cuz they are very good and expensive amps. i suggest getting a JL or Clarion Amp. My friend has a Clarion amp and it makes his subs sound a whole lot cleaner.

ya i know a JL amp would be good...but i want my trunk to kinda match...so would a Fosgate 500bd do the job?

it probably should. there is a show truck here at a car audio store. 9 15"s with 4 1000W fosgate subs i think.

Get a jl500/1. Function over fashion, fosgate amps suck.

just got off the phone with JL tech support, and i was surprized to hear that he had nothing bud good things to say about the 500bd. he said it shoudl give a good output and be pretty clear. so i'm happy.
