225/50/16 fit GT with drop?

just wondering if 225/50/16 would fit a GT with eibach sportlines (1.8 front, 2.4 rear). i did a search and only really found out about others upgrading their stock GTS tires. a guy from tirerack told me that it was about 1 inch wider and 1 inch bigger than GT recommended. i just wanted to double check before i went ahead with it that there wouldnt be rubbing.

my stock tires are 195/60/15 and there is still a good 1.5 - 2" gap

The radius (distance from center to outer edge of tire) of your stock setup is 12.1". The radius of your wanted set up is 12.8". That means that if you change to this set up, ou gap will be 0.7" less and car will be 0.7" higher off the ground. When your speedmeter reads 60 mph you will be traveling at 63.5 mph.
